The journey towards the creation of the Infinite Steel Stool began at the end of 2010. Fernanda Marques and her team embarked on a quest to incorporate stainless steel into contemporary furniture design. Their goal was to create a more authorial aspect in their interior projects by designing furniture that seamlessly integrated with the overall design.

The Infinite Steel Stool was designed for a young, bold entrepreneur with a passion for art, design, motorcycles, and speed. The result was a multifunctional room where the client could relax and entertain friends. The stool, which can be split into several others, was designed to abolish the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces, thanks to its durable building material.

Each custom-made Infinite Steel Stool is composed of independent modules that fit together, each weighing approximately 22 kg. The stool is made from welded folded steel sheets and internally clad in plywood. The outer finish of the stool is textured to provide a satiny finish, reflecting continuity in its design. Notably, the Infinite Steel Stool is an environmentally friendly design. Stainless steel, the primary material used in the stool, is one of the least environmentally impacting materials in the building industry as it is 100% recyclable.

The project, which started in July 2010 in São Paulo, was completed in December of the same year. The stool was then exhibited at the Mostra Casa Black in July 2011.
